The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall during a visit to the Norfolk Broads National Park

The Duchess of Cornwall supports her husband The Prince of Wales in his work and role as Heir to the Throne, and also supports a number of her own charities and organisations in the role of President or Patron.

Since becoming The Duchess of Cornwall, Her Royal Highness has travelled across the country with The Prince and on solo engagements, meeting people from all walks of life.

The Duchess has also accompanied The Prince on overseas tours, most recently Trinidad and Tobago, St Lucia, Montserrat and Jamaica in March 2008.

The 11-day tour of the Caribbean was aimed at reinforcing Britain’s ties with important Commonwealth countries. It was also aimed at advancing key British Government priorities in the promotion of sustainable development, environmental protection and youth opportunity.

In January 2007, The Duchess visited the United States of America with The Prince of Wales and in February 2007, Their Royal Highnesses visited Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates (Abu Dhabi and Dubai) and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
